2013 Charity Ride Around Australia

So, I'm about to set off on this solo ride around Australia and I’ve had an idea: why not put the ‘hard yards’ to good use by making it a ‘charity ride’ – and so I am: to raise funds and awareness for The Shepherd Centre.

The Shepherd Centre 'gives deaf children a voice' and helps “children who are deaf or hearing impaired to learn how to listen and speak.”

Today I had the pleasure of visiting the Shepherd Centre central office in Sydney where I met with the awesome team there. They gave me a tour of the place (very impressive!) and showed me around their excellent facilities.

I even got the chance to meet some of the kids (and their parents) who let me join in and play some games in exchange for climbing all over my bike – you never know, but maybe I’ve converted some future adventure riders!

Please sponsor this excellent foundation by visiting my Everyday Hero page and giving generously.
